The English Stock Market has been steady during the month,
and prices have risen nearly 1 per cent.; the closing price of
Consols on the 26th of October having been 1001/2; and, on the
25th instant, 1011/4 No effect was produced by the Queen's
speech.
Foreign Stocks have been firm, and likewise Railway Shares;
no variations of consequence having taken place in any of them.
